“A Generation To Notice” – Generation Mangled Review
Written By Eric Austin
January 10th, 2019 – The Canyon Club in Agoura Hills, CA.
Quite the group, these guys… To start with a name so pungent should tell you such a group has a point to prove. With a driving rhythm section, pushing and kicking its way through a melodic, and often haunting guitar, these four stand firm and demand all eyes and ears, while their driven and empowering vocals keep you locked in.
“Grunge Metal,” “Mock industrial,” whatever the genre you may feel, you may not be wrong. Though, you will find yourself fixed in a sort of engagement one could not expect from what they were cast into.
Each member, individually intuitive, and alone, intelligent and precise, but together… Ah, together they make up a moment of peace. A moment of rising clarity and a moment of intoxicating drift, all in the wake of thoughts and emotions you felt and heard in your own mind from the start. I don’t want to become too much here…
Let’s just say, YOU NEED TO STOP AND LISTEN. Open your ears, and your mind, and get absorbed into Generation Mangled.
If you are in the Los Angles area, here’s your chance! The next Generation Mangled Show is Saturday, January 26th at The Canyon in Santa Clarita with Queen Tribute band Queen Nation.
